Brandon Taylor Armwood was born to Eric and Shelley Armwood on November 1, 1990.  His older sister Erika is active in competitive cheerleading while Brandon’s passion is horses.  His paternal grandparents are Charles and Mary Armwood of Fayetteville, NC and his maternal grandparents are Milford and Glodine Taylor of Raleigh, NC.

Brandon currently attends Overhills Middle School as an eight grader.  During his three years at Overhills he has received many academic and athletic honors. 
Some of his achievements are:  Principal’s List honor roll (all A’s); Beta Club Vice President; Student Government Association; Highest GPA of Male Athletes for the 2003-2004 school year; and Overhills Homecoming Duke, Prince and King.  He has played on the school’s soccer, basketball, and baseball teams and outside of school he participates in 4-H, karate, motor cross racing, and of course horse shows.

Riding horses has been Brandon’s passion for several years.  He has been riding competitively for five years while under the guidance of Rickey Moore since 2001.  Since 2000 he has won multiple All-Around and Circuit awards.  Listed below are some of his accomplishments.

• Youth Sportsmanship Award for Eastern Quarter Horse Association
• North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Quarter Horse of North Carolina 13 & Under High Point All-Around
• 2004  Youth Quarter Horse of North Carolina Sportsmanship Award
• Nationally qualified for Youth World in Hunter Under Saddle
