About me:
I started riding at 5 ½. After a few months of getting my feet wet, I started riding with Kathy Pugh in Moyock. Ms. Kathy gave me lessons and after my first year, I started showing her appendix quarterhorse, Petite. Petite was the boss mare at her barn but she loved me and we got along great. We went to horsemanship school together and competed at the Northeast District 4-H horseshow. We also showed for the 2005 season at the Hertford Saddle Club.

In 2006, I started riding a pony named Tater Tot, owned by our friend, Rodney Sawyer. Tater was smaller and very stubborn but I finally got his number. We went from not moving at Horsemanship School in February, to bucking in the Spring and finishing with Reserve Champion Youth in English and Western for the year at the Hertford Saddle Club. It was a lot of hard work for me and my dad, who worked us through our issues. I love Tater and he has made me a much better rider. 

In 2007, I will be riding my new horse, Peek. I will compete in English and Western classes and plan to have a “huge time” with him and my friends at the barn. Mr. Rickey and Ms. Lynn make me feel good about my riding and I’m going to learn a lot.

Background:
Farley attends Kitty Hawk Elementary School. She participates in School chorus, is on the AB honor roll and is very involved in the Sandy Boots 4-H club. She has earned her green and bronze achievement certificates.
