About me: My name
is Tyler Southern. I was born February 3, 1995.
My parents are Mitch and Teresa Southern, I also have a little brother
named James. I live on a 100 acre farm that has been in the family for
more than 100 years in Cameron, NC.
I am in the sixth grade at
New Century Middle School in Cameron, N.C. I have been accepted as
an honored scholar to attend the Junior National Young leaders Conference
in Washington, D.C. Next year I plan on playing school football,
which is my favorite game. Last year I played for Southern Pines
parks in recreation I was team captain for our team The Chiefs.
My other favorite hobby is riding Motocross
it is a very fun sport I have a Yamaha
03 yz125 we have our own small private track that my brother
and I practice on. My little brother races motor cross he is good at it,
I have plans to race a couple races this summer.
My favorite hobby is riding
the All American Quarter Horse I have been riding since 2003.
I learned to ride from a friend that we met at the shows named Eric Armwood.
My first horse was named Trey. He was my Small
Fry horse. We won many events.
My second horse was Romeo. He was the horse
I got when I moved up to the Novice youth events and became
a member of Valley Hill Farm. Romeo
was my first Novice Youth Horse for 2007. It was a year
I will never forget. I did not think
I would do that good but I was very successful.
I received one All-Around and 3 Reserve All-Around awards with Romeo in
NCQHA and EQHNC.
I now have a new horse -
Zippos Texas Two Step a.k.a Tex. Thanks to Mrs. Candace Henderson
I have been given the opportunity to ride Tex in the 13 & Under classes
and I will be trying for Congress. I would like to again thank Ms.
Kansas (as we call her) for allowing me this privilege and my Mom and Dad
for making it happen for me. Also a big thank you to Rickey Moore
for putting this all together. See you at the Shows.
